Maurach - the small village near the big lake - offers cultural venues, impressive landscapes and sports facilities - something for every taste.

Europe's oldest steam rack railway will take you from Jenbach to Maurach from May to October. It takes a short break in Eben, directly next to the parish and pilgrimage church of Saint Notburga and the Notburga museum, the first museum of art in the Achensee region.

You can also take the Rofan cable railway to go up to an altitude of 1,800m where you will find a perfect starting point for many hikes with a lovely view to the Achensee lake.
