Lake Achensee - Buchau beach

With a length of 9.4 kilometers and a width of 600 - 1,000 meters, beautiful Achensee is Tirol's largest lake.
The lake originated after the last Ice Age. The water in the lake is so pure that its quality that of tap water.
The beach at Buchau has a large sun-bathing area with a playground and a trampoline.
Snacks and drinks can be bought at the nearby tennis courts where you also find restrooms.
The parking area is metered. Not far from the beach and close to the lake is a Beach Bar where the water temperature is the warmest and therefore, a favourite place for families.
