Hochissplatte Alpine Climbing Area

Great opportunities for face climbing of up until 4 rope lengths.

You can see the Issplatten climbing area to the south of Hochiss easily from Erfurter Hütte, direction Gschöllkopf .

Route length: up to 4 rope lengths bis 4 Seillängen

Altitude: approx. 2,150 m

How to get there

From Erfurter Hütte follow the trail to Hochiss over Gamshals until just below the summit trail. Turn south-west and cross the steep inclination (careful when wet) until you reach a large grassy hillside. Descend until you reach the Hochiss.

Please note: All the climbing routes in Rofan are privately owned and are located in a sensitive, protected area. We ask all climbers to stay on the trails and to not litter the area.
