By Train
The train station Jenbach (between Innsbruck and Kufstein) is within a distance of approx. 8 km of Lake Achensee. All Eurocity trains stop at Jenbach. Take the bus (timetables) or a taxi to Lake Achensee.
Tipp: Arrival and departure from Jenbach railway station to the Achensee Region - Achenkirch, Maurach, Pertisau or Steinberg – with the schedueled bus service is free of charge when you have your booking confirmation from your accomodation in Achensee. This must simply be shown to the bus-driver!
All busses in and around the Achensee villages Achenkirch, Maurach, Pertisau, Steinberg and Wiesing are free of charge with your free bus ticket which is obtained from your landlord. Visitors in Wiesing must pay for their weekly bus ticket between Wiesing and Maurach (zone: Jenbach-Wiesing), however, this money can be refunded in the tourist office in Wiesing.

Due to the central geographical situation, the Region Achensee lies close to three main Airports – Innsbruck (45 mins.), Salzburg (1 hour 30 mins.) and Munich (1 hour 30 mins.). Your journey can then be completed either by train or with an airport taxi. We would be glad to help you organise your transport!
